BIM Modeler

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D building models using BIM software, from early design through construction stages.
  • Help bring architectural and engineering concepts to life in a smart, accurate, and organized digital model.
  • Produce clear and accurate 2D construction drawings, schedules, and details directly from the 3D model.
  • Work closely with the BIM Manager and design team to identify and resolve model issues and clashes early—before they become problems on site.
  • Ensure model elements are properly organized, labeled, and contain the required information.

Must Have

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a BIM-related role, including BIM Technician, BIM Modeler, Revit Modeler, BIM Intern, or a similar position.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and/or MEP drawings is an advantage.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of how 3D BIM models relate to construction drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices is required.

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (AS) and the National Construction Code (NCC).
  • Interest in or basic knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards.
  • Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, naming conventions, and information management is an advantage
  • Experience working on Australian projects is a strong advantage.

What You’ll Do:+

Create & Build in 3D

  • Develop detailed 3D building models using BIM software, from early design through construction stages.
  • Help bring architectural and engineering concepts to life in a smart, accurate, and organized digital model.
  • Follow project-specific modeling requirements and standards.

Turn Models into Drawings

  • Produce clear and accurate 2D construction drawings, schedules, and details directly from the 3D model.
  • Ensure drawings are coordinated, complete, and suitable for construction documentation.
  • Learn and apply best practices for professional BIM documentation.

Collaborate & Learn

  • Work closely with the BIM Manager and design team to identify and resolve model issues and clashes early—before they become problems on site.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders and contribute to an efficient BIM workflow.
  • Receive guidance and feedback to continuously improve your BIM and technical skills.

Keep Models Clean & Smart

  • Ensure model elements are properly organized, labeled, and contain the required information.
  • Follow project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and modeling standards.
  • Maintain model quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

Education

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates may be considered, provided they meet the required technical and experience qualifications.

BIM & Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit or other industry-standard BIM platforms.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a BIM-related role, including BIM Technician, BIM Modeler, Revit Modeler, BIM Intern, or a similar position.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of how 3D BIM models relate to construction drawings and documentation.

Australian Building Codes & Standards

Australian Client & Time Zone

  • Must be willing and able to work with an Australian client during Australian business hours/time zone.
  • Must be comfortable attending meetings, coordinating with the client, and responding to project requirements within the agreed Australian working schedule.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for effective coordination with the Australian client and project team.
